Hari Har Dutt Mishra This is an infestation of Sugarcane Top Shoot Borer. Pls don't worry, you need not any chemical treatment. Just cut the infected tiller below until you get the larvae. Within 15 days you will see fresh tillers are coming out from the base. Finally keep 9 to 10 tillers per stool for millable canes.
