Dear Jitendra Kumar Rathore This is bacterial panicle blight. Spray 0.5 gms Streptocycline AND 3 gms copper oxychloride in one litre of water. About 200 litres of spray solution may be required per acre. Good luck

I have streptocyclin, when should I use it, before symptoms or when symptoms will appear? Plants are fully ready to flowering. If I use it now when panicles are not exposed out, will it beneficial or not? Moreover, what would be consequences if I spray it now?

Dear Jitendra Kumar Rathore Streptocycline is an antibiotic, and on spraying it is absorbed by the plants in to their system and acts against bacteria internally. Your crop is ready for flowering. Now if you spray Streptocycline , it will act against bacteria causing bacterial panicle blight and it will be effective for about 15 days. If you were suffering panicle blight in the previous years , you can spray Streptocycline now to have effective control against bacterial blight instead of waiting for the symptoms to appear. Spray Streptocycline 0.5 gms in one litre of water. About 200 litres of spray solution may be required per acre. Good luck
