Damping-Off of Seedlings - Tomato

Tomato Tomato

M

I've been transplanting tomatoe seedlings but survival rate after transplant is very very low. Less than 20%. Majority of the seedlings lay down and don't recover. I use seaweed to manage shock and stress but still don't survive. What could be the problem?

Seedlng fall and do not raise up again.

Could also be that you have cut worms, If not then try and plant the seedlings a little deeper to avoid leggy plants

I agree with Makai. Make sure the ground has been watered for some days before planting. Your ground looks relatively dry. Create a hole with a dry stick about 10cm deep and place you tomato seedlings in it and squeeze the top of the hole to ensure the plant does not fall over. Make sure you shake off the soil from the seed bed.
