What causes the deformation of the tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum)?

The tomato stem is growing in a flat shape in the upper area (not round). Furthermore, the leaves and the side branches are twisted into each other and have a unnatural shape. The plants were not treated with any pesticides.

Hallo Max_M, The toxin secreted by Broad Mite is subject to cause deformation of leaves, soft stalks, flowers and terminal buds. The mite is so minute that it is hard to notice by naked eye. My initial guess is like this, so have a look in Plantix Library by clicking on green hyperlink that helps you know details on this pest with its fecundity. Of course, there's other resources also include prevention and control measures, pls try it.

Hi Sali, Thanks for the advice. The damage pattern fits very well to the description of the broad mite. I'll try to treat it with Pyrethine and see if it does the trick. Thanks again mate!
