Hi Karthik . Sent image is not clear and dull. Though on zooming, I suspect it's Fusarium Stem Rot. Click on green link for checking symptoms and taking control measures from Plantix library. If any problem, send some more clear and closer pictures with your proper query again please.

I agree with Suresh Gollar 😊 The same disease is common in chilli, tomato and eggplant.
