Sudhakar let's clear one thing SOP is an excellent source of potassium fertilizer.Which can be applied to mostly all crop.if you want to apply SOP you can apply. Since you already applied fertilizer my recommendation for you is go for foliar spraying of Pottasium fertilizers Use any one of the following for one acre 1)SPEEDFOL 1 KG 2)KLASSIC 13:0:45 -- 1 Kg 3)FMC LEGEND - 1 acre pack

Thank u sir. But it's really a potassium issue ? Till now ,in multiple phases I should have provided more than 30 kg of potash.

Dear Sudhakar, Applying any fertilizer split 55 days after transplantation in rice field is not a recommended practice. However, essential insecticide or fungicide is quite okay. I should recommend you to follow the detailed cultivation procedures in Crop Advisory in Plantix Library. Best of Luck!!

Drear Sudhakar, Pls learn few general practices, that I do in rice cultivation as follows: Fertilizer use in rice field During land preparation TSP, MoP, Gypsum, Zinc, Boron, Sulphur and Magnesium should be applied to the soil in full dose. After 15 days of transplantation apply urea fertilizer that helps tillering. Keep 2" water up to 54 days after transplantation. After 30 and 42 days spread urea again that enhance vegetative growth. From 55 to 75 days of age 4 "of water should be retained in the field . Otherwise, some ears may grow empty. Spread Carbofuran 5 G twice, 21 and 42 days after transplantation. This helps suppress stem borer and nematodes by systemic actions.

Sudhakar things are difficult to identify the exact cause for your issue,so go for integrated method. apply any one of the above foliar options+Plantomycin 75 gms/acre There is no pest symptoms on your crop so you cannot worry about that.

Dear Sudhakar, Your rice field don't have any major disease or insect attack, but a minor micronutrient issue like Magnesium Deficiency and weed infestation are visible. Ecological imbalances is of course inadequate facilities like insufficient water prior to milking stage😁😁😁 You need to keep water or wet the field for a couple of weeks.

Happy Farmer - Today I went to the shop and since they didn't have stock of plantomycin they recommend ed copper hydroxide and they even told me it's superior to planto. They asked to mix 100 gm of powder with 100 l of water but when I went thru the product website ( kocide 2000) they are recommending 400 gm per acre and I called back the shop owner and he says 100 gm is sufficient. Is it ok ?

Dear Sudhakar, You need not use copper oxychloride wettable powder at this moment without any fungal disease. Labour cost and pesticide cost will be good for nothing. You can ck for insects and apply insecticide.
