Why are top leaf surfaces of papaya turning dark?
Upper leaves fine. Fruit is fine. Just lower leaves with dark "film", like dirt, on their upper surfaces.

Hi Shinyhanone It is Sooty Mold. Monitor carefully fir the presence of sucking pests like whiteflies, Scale insects etc on upper leaves. Please check this link for more details and preventive measures.
