Hello Ljay Noel, The blighted appearance shows that leaves dried with sections of necrotic tissues is a characteristic symptom of hoppers damage. The terminal bud has already been collapsed due to excessive sucking damage by Leafhoppers and Jassids attack. However, pls send us a picture showing complete plant's canopy and specially the crown area if there's anything like stem rot or root damage. Pls let's know how many days ago you planted it and how is the sunlight exposure. We recommend curing of sampling to withstand the transplantation stress. Pls ck in Plantix library by clicking on green link if you get any similarity with the damaged leaves. Best of luck😊

Thank you for answering. Here is a complete picture of the gardenia. I transplanted the plant 5 days or 6 days ago.

Dear Ljay Noel, Looks like that your plant is quite okay. After transplantation the roots can't start functioning instantaneously. Until the root absorbs nutrients and water by osmosis process, the older leaves come forward to supplement the nutrients and water. As a result, they look sick and necrotic in appearance. New flushes already started in most of the twigs, so I should recommend you to use epson salt and few nitrogenous fertilizer dissolved in water and apply to the base of the plant. Do it for every one month! Hope that it helps you get your Gardenia smiling every time. Ck every 7 days underside of leaves if you see any Mealybug. Just spray water to dislodge them. Otherwise, new leaves will start curling downwards. Pls try it! 😊
