The leaves of the mango tree have a white coating, some mangoes also show this . Please suggest a remedy for this desease.

Dhiraj Mehta yes the insct are looks like same in both case but sir in may case they are on a mango tree .

Hi Jogesh Naik These scale insects are covered with a hard coating as a result the insecticides applied on its body cannot affect to kill it. That's why we recommend you to apply first horticultural oil in order to dislodge the insect. When the insect starts crawling then apply highly contact poison or insecticides like Cypermethrin 10 EC or Chloropyrifos 48 EC or Deltamethrin 2.5 EC. Hope that it helps! 😊

Yes, of course, you can use first Neem oil or simply detergent that helps to dislodge the scales. Then use any of the above insecticides. Thank you Jogesh Naik and other colleagues in the discussion 😂

So, you can remove the insects by a brush and detergent. No need for any insecticide. Clean with water, so eco-friendly 😁
