Hi Madhuri Manapareddy It's due to mango leaf cutting weevil. Spraying of insecticides such as Deltamethrin (1 mL/L) or Cypermethrin (0.5 mL/L) or Carbaryl (4 g/L) during new leaf emergence can effectively prevent the weevil damage.  Close monitoring has to be carried out during spraying as these weevils can fly away and stay on the neighbouring plants (orchards) and can return later to cause enormous damage.

Madhuri Manapareddy actually the dieback of new buds may be due to Colletotrichum. However, it was not evident from your pic of only one cut leaf to say anything about insect. Anyway Thanks

Welcome Madhuri Manapareddy I also doubt that the burning of your tender leaves from top is due to lack of potassium

Sreekanth M is absolutely right. Young leaves are cut in this manner by Mango Leaf Cutting weevil for a reason. Let me add that the beetle lays egg in the leaves by oviposition and the eggs remain embedded in the leaves. They want to germinate the eggs in the soil. So the insect cut the leaves in this artistic manner so as to drop it to the soil. Spraying Deltamethrin 2.5 EC is also an recommended chemical I know. Thanks a lot Sreekanth M for the great insight 😊
