Yes A M Nazeer . Many farmers try their own remedies. Sometimes because they don’t have anything else to control FAW, other times because they know something about the materials they try, for example, like Sand, Ash, Lime, Soap etc. Because as age old practice Red sand/Sand can be used to harbour pathogens that can kill FAW larvae. Application: These even more important, they often seem to work, especially when applied directly into the whorls of infested plants at 15th and 40 th days of its germination, which rather act as "mechanical control measures".
