M Farooq Shahzaib Kashan Bhutta yes u r right also for the last 4 . 5 years i have never got full maize crop because at the time of kernal formation all the field suddenly dries up in a span off 6 7 days and the seed never fully devolops leading to very low yield and the plants are also of no use because animal does not eat them because they are rotten inside having strong punjent smell

Hi Haq Nawaz yeah fall army wrom is full activated destructor. Last year it was full active and destroyed alot of maize fields of Indian farmers. Unfortunately, No one is putting focus in pak side. But now they have carried out their research and studies about FAW. My students are also doing work on this pest in Faislabad agriculture University. Haq Nawaz One thing more i would like to add about other pest the maize and attack identification is given below Difference between the attack of stem borer of maize and shoot fly of maize is give below. 👉Incase of shoot fly worms attack : There must be pungent small with rotten stem. 👉Incase of stem borer: There will be no smell.
