Dear Sindhuja Sindhu , According to you ,the caterpillar is eating the leaf thus creating white patches on the leaf. This may not have much effect on the yield , if the incidence is low . In that event , you may ignore and not to worry much about it. If the incidence is high, spray Azadaractin 1 or 2 ml in a litre of water

This is spodoptera or army worm , ineach plant this year with high infestation,no growth,controller measure, emamectin benzoate 5% ,5 gm in 10 lit water,spray as such that the apratim water goes in the crop (ponga ).,only on spraying on leaves is not sufficient, the spray water must go from leaves in the centre of plant.
