Potassium Deficiency - Cucumber

Cucumber Cucumber

J

Hi all. My cucumber plant has suddenly started to yellow, dry out, and have holes in leaves. What is wrong with my plant?

Newer growth looks fine. Old leaves are yellowing, with dead parts turning brown. There were/are some heavily speckled white spots on the plant, which seemed to disappear when I sprayed with neem oil and safer caterpillar killer. I have noticed several leafhoppers on the plant, maybe 5-6. Lots of the tiny vines turned brown or yellow and died. Just to clarify, the dead leaves on the ground are ones I cut off. Most of them were dying anyways. Some of the cucumbers were astringent because it was around 92-95°F last week. The new cucumbers during that week would become brown and mushy, they all died. I'm not sure how else to describe the damage, so please refer to the pictures I attached. Thank you!!

Hello Jessica Junlee, My colleagues are quite right to diagnose the disease in right direction. Just let me add that infected dried leaves contain numbers of fungal spores and mycelium that will disperse around the healthy buds and young leaves by insect vectors or wind or rain splashes. So, it’s wise to trim those carefully and keep closed in a box. Keep the box or sac buried under soil or burn in a safer place away from your plant. Then treat with Azoxystrobin or Cymoxanil or Mancozeb. It saves your chemicals because you removed infected dried leaves already before. Rest of the canopy will look healthy and lively. Pls try it😂
