I can't see any obvious problems like bugs and I don't have a keen eye for diagnosising diseases. It appears that the young fruits are beginning to grow but are suddenly being stunted and browning as tbey shrivel up and die. The plant gets very adequate water and sunlight.

The pictured plant leaves are shrinking and the root looks stunting
The stem part just above the roots start getting brown and hard with very little water content and then eaten upwards cause yellowing of plants and death (Little insect found is shown in picture)
Stem slit, other parts are healthy. Can anybody help me to identify reason?
