Citrus Leaf Miner - Citrus

Citrus Citrus

A

Citrus leaves are bending and getting eaten away. Is this a disease or some deficiency? How do I control/prevent this?

I have this citrus plant in my kitchen garden. This is the first time it is bearing fruits. The old leaves are getting eaten away and the new leaves are bending. Fruits are still small so cant tell if they will be healthy. Biological control, if any, will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

In your plant, drive the ants that protect aphids, a mostly sucking pest in citrus. The ants also fight to save the other sucking pests from predators. So, using sticky glue on the pathway along the stems is a best biological control measure of these enemy ants. Thank you for your interests in Plantix Community!

Always be careful during early stages of flushes when Citrus Leaf Miner flies pose to attack. For biological control measure release Lacewing bug, or you can treat with Spinosad. Hope that it helps you!

yes, you're right, most of the young leaves are affected by citrus leaf miner and subsequently leaves suffer to deform that can't prepare sufficient food for development and physiological needs.
