Dayanand Cut or trim the older leaves then irrigate regularly. You need not any chemicals at this moment. After 20 days, pls fertilise by top dressing.

Since it's 2 months old transplant I have already applied DAP MOP and urea... Is this wilt is a symptoms of alkalinity?

S

No...only that you planted with unnecessary older leaves. Older leaves take nutrients and moisture from sucker, as a result, reduces rate of root premodia expansion. So, delayed root functionalities are the main cause for excessive transpiration. Pls don't worry. It will be okay soon. Go ahead to trim or cut older leaves tomorrow. Cheers!!

Dayanand Is your land in the coastal belt?

No sir its in semi arid belt...my soil is sandy loamy...and my area is arecanut belt....with moderate to good rainfall....

Great! So, I think your case is not associated with Alkalinity issues. Mostly because of less moisture in the atmosphere, for being semiarid climate 😁

It's already 10 days post application of fertilizer and surprisingly DAP and MOP is still not dissolved... I have applied very low dosage...30:50:30 GM's per plant

For the pit I have applied only FYM and Phorate

We recommend to make the pit ready prior to 15 to 20 days transplantation in order to speed up microbial activities. Toxicity neutralization of phosphatic or potassium is to be considered. Because DAP releases phosphoric acids.
