Apple
This tree was planted in April, and recently I noticed the leaves looked eaten up. I've looked and looked but I can't find any bugs. There were some very tiny black dots (too so small to focus on) on a few leaves, but I don't think they were alive. Help!

On other sides it looks good but look at this point it has changed its shape and the colour becomes brownish dark purple.

i think some beetle type damage to your plant. that black dots may be fecal material of them.

Could be associated with Thrips attack together during the early stages of leaves initiation. As the leaves grew older they took deformed shapes. I think you should have nothing to do now Carrie, however, visit plantix library for information about this pest so you can use that in next season. Thank you for your interest in Plantix Community!

Hallo Carrie for this damage is more likely the wind or a person, possibly with a machine responsible. the leaves are broken, torn and torn off. that is not fretting damage.

Hallo Salli diese Blätter sehen genau so aus wie in meiner Obstanlage wenn sie immer wieder vom Traktor gestreift werden, es gibt keine Insekten die Blätter knicken oder zerreißen.
